Six activity stages have been realized during the project “Creative workshops of career of future IT and visual technology specialists”. The first stage involves activities for the future commercial production specialists. During this stage a brain fight of Vilnius vocational education and training center of technology and business and the project partner of Kaunas arts and craft school, a lecture of business enterprise, a discussion about participation in EU programme trade, is intended. The second stage is intended for the computer design profession students, where a discussion between the mentioned schools’ representatives, presentation and discussion of professional tasks, as well as a lecture and sharing experience of business enterprise representative about participation in EU programme trade, will be held. The third stage is for the students of typesetter and paste-up artist professions, where the same activities as in the first two stages will be held. The fourth stage will include activities for the students of ceramics profession. Creative workshops, a lecture of business enterprise representative and a discussion about an experience participating in EU programme trade, are scheduled. In the following stage, activities of sharing good experience are scheduled – an exhibition of creative pieces of work made during the project, final conference intended for the spread of good experience, and the specialist’s lecture of the labor market and the staff choice. The last stage is intended for the creation and spread of the methodological material.
The aims of the project:
- To spread the information about the possibilities of international mobility, the Europass documents and the benefits of European Union transparency, transfer and recognition in the process of lifelong learning and career planning;
- To promote cooperation between vocational training, education of adults and labor market sectors on purpose for education service to meet the labor market needs, and to improve the competencies of the specialists of vocational guidance working in vocational training and institutions of adult education.
It is planned that about 120 students of various specialties, half of which - students of social exclusion groups, will participate in the project “Creative workshops of career projection of future IT and visual technology specialists”. Further results will be used on purpose to expand the outlook of such specialists as producers of fine ceramic products, paste-up artists, computer-aided design and others on the vocational practicing, guidance and employment. Also, the results will be used on purpose to successfully adapt the specific specialties to the direct labor market, by looking for vacancies and creating individual business.
